Can you send a letter without using USPS (United States Postal Service)? |
Travel Info I don't like USPS I want to know if you can send reagular standard letters though a different company liek UPS FedEX, etc, Travel Tips Yes you can, the will put it in one of those cardboard envelops. Others yes you can send thru fedex jjpb Yes. It may cost more, but sure. UPS will round up a letter to one pound. So pack that letter with every piece of paper you can find. The UPS zone chart has many zones. 6 zones. So if you ship it from LA to NY, then that would be 6 zones. Alaska and Hawaii are by zip code and are charged a hefty gas value extra cost. If you ship a letter across town or across your state it will be 4 bucks. Your taxes pay for the USPS 39 cent letter, which is why it is so much cheaper. But automation of letters helps keep the cost down as compared to UPS box moving by people. Fedex charges about 6 bucks for the smallest thing. At least that is what their website seems to say. Jonathan http://www.ups.com/media/en/2007_daily_r... http://www.fedex.com/ratefinder/standalo... UPS, Fedex, and DHL uses the USPS to deliver some of their parcels. So you could be paying extra money for the same service. If your worried it will get lost send it registered, certified, or insured. Your taxes does not pay for the USPS, they run solely on postage and support themselves. |
