Yep. Now you do if you are leaving the US. Go to your nearest post office and they can get you set up with one in about 10 weeks. You need a birth certificate,state issued ID or drivers license. Source(s): Go to travel.state.gov/passport

Depends on where you live....to leave from Canada to take a cruise out of Miami - yes you need a passport. Waiting times for a passport right now is ridiculous......up to 45 days !!
YES! You do need a passport. It will take up to 90 days currently. However you can expedite it.... which will cost you about $100 extra, but they will get it to you within 2 weeks.
yes you do since January and if you go at the passport services you get it same day with $120 more. so well have a fun ..
