Packing cigarettes?

Travel Info
how do you pack a cigarette when you don't have a full pack or just packing one?

Travel Tips
just lightly tap the butt on a table
You can see the tobacco settle down a little

Others
tapp the butt on the counter like holding it in your fingers and letting go repeatedly while your hand istouching the counter just enough to make it bounce back up
Smoking is bad, m'kay. Why don't you try packing a nicotine patch and quit! Or would you rather have your family packing your bags for you in 25 years for the hospital so you can have a lung transplant?

...You'll be asking Mother Theresa to have mercy on your sick lungs in 20 years time. You won't be so arrogant sitting on your death bed I'll bet. I'm so sure you'll be saying, "I'm dying, but I'm so glad that I learned how to pack my cigarrettes from those cancer lovers on Yahoo Answers." I'll bet you'll be really thanking them then.
If it is so awfully packed you feel you need to pack it, hold onto the non-filter end and shake really hard to push the tobacco to the bottom. You aren't going to be able to hit it against anything hard enough to do it the way you would with a pack. (I wouldn't bother, I'd just smoke it.)
taking your thumb and forefinger gently tap the butt end of the cigarette on a hard surface (your knee, a table etc) making sure to keep both fingers on the filter so not to bend the cig.
I normally carry an old-fashioned cigarette case made of metal. You can easily store one or more cigarettes in these and the tobacco remains fresh. Also, cigarettes dont get crumpled.

The only inconvenience is during air travel where I have to pass the cigarette case through X-ray and some security agent will usually open to take a look what's inside. But nothing serious.

Try one of these cigarette cases- they are worth it and fit easily into the pocket. They also prevent tobacco strands from dropping into the pocket and causing ugly stains and keep cigarettes neat and dry in all weathers.
