I'm traveling to St. Thomas in May, will I need a Passport? |
Travel Info I'm a US citizen and will be traveling to and from the United States. I plan to bring my drivers license as well as my state birth certificate - is that all that's required? Please help. Travel Tips As long as you are traveling from the United States to a US territory you will be fine without a passport. You should bring your drivers license, because you need that to board the airplane. For the complete rules and regulations on when you need a passport to travel you should visit the US Customs website http://www.cbp.gov/ Hope this helps and have a great trip! Source(s): http://www.jets.com/private_jets.aspx... http://www.legfind.com/ Other Travel Tips I've been to St. Thomas, and it seems to me that all i needed was my birth certificate or passport....i took my passport. If in doubt, why not contact a travel agency or your local post office? you couldn't get a passport by then anyway.....get one, you will need it It sounds like you are set-it's a U.S. territory (or whatever you'd call it) so I'm 99% sure you don't need a passport. Make sure you take the ferry over to St. JOhns for the day-Cinnamon Bay beach is terrific. Have fun! Been several times myself, don't ever recall having a passport with me. the new law as of 1/1/07 any travel outside the u.s. requires a valid passport. |
