Are US passports delivered via FedEx, or regular US Mail? |
Travel Info Will my passport just get delivered to my mailbox like regular mail, or do I have to sign for it? Also I renewed it over a month ago (sent in the paperwork); they cashed my processing fee check about 10 days ago. When will I get my passport? (going abroad on 4/27.....I hope) Travel Tips You will probably receive it via USPS priority mail. It usually comes in one of those special envelopes. I have never had to sign for any of them. If you go onto www.travel.state.gov you can check the status of your passport. Things are moving really slow though so if you start getting nervous, call the phone number on the website. Others It's regular mail... you should have paid the postage and sent the return envelope with your application. I had to sign for mine, it took 10 days, but I paid for expedited service. You should have also entered a travel date on the application, and if you did, most likely you'll get it in plenty of time. If you didn't, they may assume there's no need to rush. Call and ask if you're worried. |
