Paris for a month on tight budget -> how much euros? |
Travel Info hello~ I'm a college student going to Paris for a month and taking a course there, but it's my first time and I don't know how much Euro I should bring. I'm planning on eating as cheap as possible, with only a few special meals, and buying some souvenirs for friends. Please help! thanks! Travel Tips I live in Paris so I have a few suggestions : You should buy a monthly pass (if you arrive at the beginning of the month) or a weekly pass. "Carte orange" (1-2 zones). 55 Euros or so for 1 month and it entitles you to use the m茅tro, buses and trams. I also suggest that you go to the supermarkets "Ed" or "Leaderprice" as they're very cheap. Not very exotic but very inexpensive ! Museums are also free of charge the 1st Sunday of each month. As for how much money you will need...?? Well, this will depend on your lifestyle. If you eat out alot, go out for drinks or do very little .... !!!???? In comparison to London and NY, Paris is less expensive in many ways but it is still an expensive place. Set yourself a daily budget and don't break it. Bienvenue ! Others THE PLACE IS ONE BIG RIP OFF, STINKIN DIRTY, ARROGANT PEOPLE GOOD LUCK Approx.15-20 Euros a day (Includes smokes, meals ,a couple of beers and transportation ) accommodation not included. It's a pretty expensive town, but nice people. Own experience You can probably get by on about a 1,000 if you're VERY careful with your spending on food, sights, etc. If you can do it, I'd suggest a minimum of 1,200. Bon Voyage... |
