Travel Info Due to the restrictions on airlines, can you take drinks with you through departures? Travel Tips depends on the place you leave from. most countries now only let you take certain liquids under 100ml in each bottle with a total limit of 1litre. these need to be screened seperately through x-ray, they should give you a little clear plastic bag for these. im quite sure that drinks are not allowed, but check with your local airport. you can buy drinks and things when you get through security and can carry these. At least with international flights. better to not bother and just buy something once through security. Others no, you have to buy them IN departures! nope only if you buy them after check-in, actually in the airport building. I had a bottle of water I'd brought with me confiscated the other day. There's a size limit, something like 50ml. so you might get away with it if you have a small drink. Not in Canada, the US or Britain. No liquids larger than 100mL and those have to be in a zip-lock baggie. But I have brought an EMPTY bottle with me (ie water bottle) and filled it up with water from a drinking fountain on the other side of the security scan, with no issue. Good luck. no you can not take drinks through security checkpoint. You can however, buy a bottle of water or something once you are through security and take that on board with you. Nope, you can't take any drinks through to departures, but you can buy food and drinks once you go through security as they have already been security cleared. |
