I'm going to boston and it will rain! i need shoe help!!!?

Travel Info
i'm going to boston from the 7th thrue the 14th and it's supposed to rain a couple of those days. i am from new orleans so 65 degrees is very cold to me so i want to wear jeans so i don't get cold. but you see, the problem is that when it rains and u wear jeans, the water get's soaked up like a sponge and my leggs get freezing!!! the other problem is that i only have tennis shoes that soak up water too. rain boots seem perfect in this situation but my parents think that i will regret having them b/c they are too big and i won't want to haul them around. i only have shorts and long jeans- neither of which are good in this situation and capris look dorky with tennis shoes. HELP!!!!!!!

Travel Tips
I'm glad you know capris and tennis shoes look lame haha
alright I know the first link is to capris but the material is really light and really works well in rain - I have them - it dries fast - look for items like that
I personally would just buy really comfortable sandals if I'm going to be walking - like addidas - cause wet shoes are no better than cold toes
bring a pancho - tho lame - bring an umbrella - and the second link is to shoes of all kinds Source(s): http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp...

Other Travel Tips
I guess I don't understand what is wrong with wearing tennis shoes and maybe bringing a 2nd pair with you. As for the rain - you're talking about something that is still several days - the weather may very well change some. I wouldn't bring the boots though.
Boots are likely unnecessary. A lot of times, the rain isn't going to be bad enough to soak your pants. Jeans do take forever to dry, so if you're worried about this, get a pair or two of khakis. They'll dry out faster and will still look good with a lot of your shirts. For shoes, anything not fabric will work okay. Sneakers, flipflops, loafers, they'll all be mildly waterproof and will be able to stand up against a bit of rain. You'll want a decent umbrella more than you'll want anything else in this situation.
You should get yourself a pair of all-purpose water resistant light weight cargo pants perfect for hiking, fishing, camping, or rain in Boston. As for shoes, maybe hiking sandals or plastic garden clogs (like crocs). These are extremely lightweight for travel.
This site has different kinds of rubber boots and shoes. Some tall, some short, and even clog type. www.dllrainwear.com
