If I am flying domestic, do I need a passport?

Travel Info
I am a US citizen

Travel Tips
No passport within the US. But you need photo Id (driver's license) to get on the plane.

Have a good trip.

No, duh..
Not yet!

But the "Real ID" Act is mandates a National Identity Card. The plan is to require this to travel on any common carrier (plane, train, bus). Nazi Germany had this sort of system. You may recall seeing movies where the nazi Gestapo stops the good guy and demands, "Your travel papers, please!"

So it's coming to that.

But you still have until 2008... and maybe longer.

By the way, if you want to stomp out this kind of unconstitutional crap, consider voting for Ron Paul. Unlike the current president, who never met a Constitutionally-guaranteed right he couldn't ignore, Ron Paul would have vetoed this police-state legislation.
no
no just a picture ID...government issued (drivers license, military ID etc)
nope
It depends in which country you are flying domestic.
