How do I remember to pack everything?

Whenever I go on a trip, it always seems like I forgot something. Does anyone have a list or any other ideas that can help em remember everytihng???

like you said, you need a list and make it a few days before you need to pack so you can add to it as you remember things

I have the same issue. I would suggest writing down everything you need on a piece of paper approximately 2 weeks before the trip. As things come to mind that you need, continue to write them down. Then, about 2-3 days before departure, go to the store and pick everything thing up. Pack it as soon as possible into your luggage so things do not get separated. Make a list about 2 weeks before the trip of everything you can think of that you need. Review it daily, if you see something that you forgot, add it. If you don't want something anymore, remove it.
no problem, make a list a couple of weeks before and start packing some stuff... then in that time of 2 weeks you can keep thinking over what you havent put in that list and then you should be alright...

I used to have the same problem when I was younger. Until I learned to pack in layers.

I pack from the inside out.....I start with my underwear and end up with my toiletries. I find that if I think it through layer by layer, I don't leave anything behind. That and I keep my travel toiletries all together and take out the things I don't need for the trip instead of having to remember it all when I'm pressured and in a rush.

This tip will come in handy every time you travel.

I open up a document in word and list what to take such as shorts, shirts, t's, underwear etc.. I also make a list of things to do such as turn the heater to vacation, stop the newspaper, set the timers etc... Update the list periodically. Then all I do is print it out everytime and check it off. It's a real time saver in the long run especially for those longer vacations.
