How to pack alcohol in checked luggage?

I want to bring some alcohol in my checked luggage flying into a different state. What is the best way to do this without breaking it? I was thinking a water bottle, but will the pressure cause it to leak or something?

Best thing is to not open the bottle at all. Wrap it inside a towel or two and place your articles of clothing beneath it and over it. It will be fine.
