What to wear in London for a Summertime Visit? |
Travel Info I am relocating to London in September and will be taking a house-hunting trip in early July. As a guy, I was curious about the type of clothing to pack for roaming around the city during the daytime. Of course, in the states, we tend to wear shorts, t-shirts, golf-shirts, etc. but I was hoping for some advice as to what is "typical" for London (i.e., do people wear shorts out, etc.?). How about for women? What is typical/practical for July? Thanks!! Travel Tips wear ali-baba goatskin jogging bottoms and a turban, grow a cave-dweller beard and get your missus to wear a hijab, you'll fit right in.You'll also get thru' customs quicker if you say you're unemployed, require a free house/mobile phone and have come to attend a terrorist training school in Finsbury. If the classes are full(likely) you are willing to go freelance Wear what you like friend, but not golf clothing or anything in a large check,oh and leave Hawaiian shirts at home. Thanks for coming Others Depending on the weather, but yeah shorts and T.Shirts is the general norm. Women usually wear little vest tops and summer skirts or dresses. The usual clothes for summer. berghaus water proofs and long johns London is hot, sticky dirty and unfriendly so wear something dark coloured, cotton and washable.Rentals/sales of properties is very expensive so dress appropriately, not like a slob!.Shorts and t shirts ok for a walk in the park but not respectable wear for house hunting.Good luck and be careful. Try a money belt. I dont think shorts are appropriate unless you are relaxing in the park etc. For house hunting a pair of light chinos and a golf shirt and casual leather shoes as you want to create the right impression when renting somewhere decent |
