Travel Info do they have to zip it? what if it rips do they pay? im curious im traveling tomorrow :) my mom sorta overpacked a bag and we dont have any extra we are on the limit of baggage allowed! Travel Tips They don't have to zip it and they sure don't pay if it rips! You would be better off taking stuff out as the last thing you want to endure is getting yelled at by a screener with a broken zipper on your bag and stuff falling out all over. Source(s): Much experience with TSA:( Other Travel Tips They will open it, even if you warn them (in fact they are probably MORE likely to open it if warned not to...security y'know) They may ask you to repack it. If they damage it out of your sight, you can bet they won't pay! They have plastic bags and what looks like saran wrap that they can wrap the bag in if it wont close. If you don't want to take a chance then either repack the bag or take an extra carry on, like a small purse or plastic bag to put stuff in. They don't seriously enforce the carry on rule. I usually take 3-4 by putting a bag in a bag and taking it out later. |
