I'm going on a trip 2 florida? |
Travel Info but the problem is that i'm fiften and my pasport expired we applied for a new passport on march 30th still no answers we're going in a week how am i suppose to get on the plane without identifaciton Travel Tips As a previous airline employee, I can assure you that you will be fine without ID travelling within the US. Usually with minors, we accept the parents identification for the child. If you were 16 or 17, they might make you go through additional screening. All that means is that your luggage is thoroughly checked for explosives or other prohibited items. When you go through the security checkpoint, they would make you be screened more closely. Most people walk through the metal detector and go on their way, you would need to step aside and they use a wand that they wave over your body. It beeps if it detects metal, the security personnel will pat you any time it beeps, to find out what the metal object is. In the case of a belt buckle or zipper, don't worry, they don't make you expose yourself or anything improper. Also, it's done in plain view so your parents can monitor the situation. The security is trained that they are not allowed to grab or touch you in any way other than to determine what the metal object is on your body. That extra screening takes maybe 5 minutes at the most. They may also search through your carry on bags by hand but they do that right in front of you so that you can make sure they don't take anything. You will get on your flight without a problem. Source(s): I've been through airport security so many times. I have a metal rod in my back so they are always having to "pat me down" It's kind of funny. Other Travel Tips That IS a problem. You should contact your passport office immediately and explain the problem. Perhaps they can expedite it for you. This has been a huge problem in the United States as well. Why don't you call your airport. Since you are under the driving age, they can't expect you to have a drivers license. Maybe a school ID or the expired passport would be ok since you are flying within the US. I believe you need proper ID if you are 18 and over - but, to be safe, school ID with photo? - County ID? Good luck and have a fun and safe trip! Not sure about overseas travel, but, go to your local county store, they should be able to answers all your questions. I live in Florida! Where do you live? I'm assuming you live in Europe or somewhere outside of America but other than a passport I don't think there's anything else you can use. You should call the airline you'd be using and ask them. Good luck If you are a citizen of the US and live in the US then you don't need a passport to travel within the US. As long as you have a state issued ID you will be fine, where I'm from it only takes a couple hours to get a state issued non- drivers ID, so check your local DMV to see if this is an option for you. |
