Wheres my passport???

I went to the post office at the beginning of march so that 12 weeks now...how much longer should it take? and they said that at 10 weeks they will send me my reciept and my birth certificate in the mail i have not got that either??? help!!!

Im hiting 3 and 1/2 months since i applied. I leave in two weeks for study abroad and still cant get my visa :( . Your best bet is to contact your congressman, talk to the passport agency and set up an appointment, they will have you on hold forever and they are generally booked straight for aout two weeks so book earlier than two weeks beforeyou leave to actuallyget an appointment. I hear you can walk out wiht a passport that same day. Though you do have to pay all over again.

Hubby told me due to high traffic of people getting passport before January 1, 2008 now they say its 3 - 4 months to get it ... I think they changed the date to September 2008 cuz of high traffic of people getting passports

Find a phone number and contact them ...
they always take into concideration when youre leaving for vacation. right now the passport agencies are very busy because of the new passport requirements for traveling to mexico and canada. just be patient and if you call the passport agency they can tell you what the current status is and for an extra 50 dollars or so you can have it expedited over the phone to get it in about 3-5 business days. dont panic, i got my passport last minute a couple years ago and my friend got his the day before we went to europe in march. im sure everything will be fine.

The passport agency has been having problems. If you need your passport soon you must get help communicating with the passport agency (calling them on the toll-free number will be an exercise in frustration).

Call the office of your US Representative (Congressman) tomorrow and ask for help communicating with the passport agency. Call the offices of one or both of your US Senators if you don't get immediate attention and assistance from the staff of your US Representative.
