Travel Info can you give me step by step intructions? who do i go to? (i dont live with my ma and dad btw). where do i go? how long does it take? what do i NEED?? So, if i have apassport and money, can i just go anywhere right there and now? ex. I walk over to the air port, show them what they need like passport..... (do i need anything else)? pay for the ticket, and ride the europe and asia or something? Travel Tips In order to obtain a US passport all you need to do is fill out the passport application and pay the fee. However, if you are under 18 you need the signature of a legal parent or guardian. You also need passport photos (can be purchased at most post offices, walgreens, photo labs, etc.). You can download the application online, once it's filled out and you have your passport photos, you need to physically go down to your local passport processing office (a list of which is also available online) where you'll need to present I.D. and sign the form in front of a government official. To the best of my knowledge, your parent or legal guardian needs to be present, with valid I.D. to sign in front of a government official as well. Once you have a passport, yes you can pretty much wherever, whenever you can afford to so long as you have valid I.D. and you're over the age of 14. As stated previously, some countries require you to obtain a VISA before you can travel there and you can't fly from the US to Cuba, obviously. Others Are you US citizen? Then check out this site: http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/fir... AFAIK it is difficult for you to get a passport, as you may need both of your parents' permission in order to get one. And yes, if you have a passport and money, you can just go almost anywhere right here and now. For some countries you need a visa before you go first. See: http://travel.state.gov/travel/tips/broc... BTW, if you plan to go to Europe or Asia, check this out: http://www.hiusa.org/programs/trav-prog.... Plane tickets are usually bought months in advance to get the cheapest prices. go to your city hall thats where I got mine |
