Is it OK to pack a laptop and DVD's in my suitcase (not carry-on luggage) for a domestic flight? |
Travel Info I.e. will the security devices like x-rays and scanners damage them at all? Travel Tips Laptop: I would not advise you to carry your laptop in check in bags. Bags are usually man handled at airports and your laptop may not survive that. It is best to spend a few extra minutes in security check lines than putting it in check in bags. Carry it in your carry-on bag. More over you do not want the risk of losing it too. DVDs: These are Ok in the check-in bags. I do not believe the data on DVDs would be destroyed by scanning them. Others No way. Do not pack anything of any value in your checked luggage. Consider anything that could be resold a donation to your friendly neighborhood baggage handler. DVDs will be fine in your checked baggage. Don't check your laptop. The risk of loss or damage is much too great. |
