Travel Tips yes you can ship it there, taxes are not that bad but the customs officials are going to give you a hard time when they release it. And for those of you who made comments about the gas in the Phils, where have you been all these years? Of course we have unleaded, premium gasoline there! Diesel is used by buses and jeepneys. We use regular, unleaded or premium gasoline for cars! Others I don't know where you live now but if you are in the US I'm not sure if your car would even run on the gas they sell in the Philippines. When I was there a couple of years ago I was told there cars usually ran on something called dieslene, very strong smelling stuff especially when you are by a busy rode with a bunch of Jeepnees. My friend shipped his hummer from LA to the Philippines through them and he said he was happy with their service :-) yes millet is right. what place do you think is the philippines not to have petrol the same way first world countries do? anyways, dear, you may want to contact a customs broker first in the philippines to know your costings so you can compare the convenience of your option. I will advice you to direct your shipment to subic as they are more knowledgeable on imported cars there if you want i have a friend who is a customs broker. you can talk to her if you want. you can also canvas for a good customs broker if you like. you may email me if you will consider my help. |
