What type of Outlet Converter should an American buy for a trip to Italy? |
Travel Info I have a converter that looks kind of like this: http://ec2.images-amazon.com/images/p/b0... Travel Tips Your converter is fine for laptop, IPOD and any electronic devices that have it's own power adapter with power surge. You can find this adapter for example w/your laptop comes with adapter attached to the cord that look like a lithium battery about the size of digital camera. It builted in with your jack before it connects the cord to the computer. On it, it should tell you what kind or many WATS it can be used. Most European country use the same kilowattt. Which is between 110/220 vac. U.S uses lesser kilowat 100/120vac. Buy one on the plane for about $20 and it calls (Universal Travel Adapter with Surge Protection). You can use over 150 countries. I did and it works wonder. I am using it now to power my laptop to answer your question. I hope this infor helps. Source(s): Any Airlines in SkyMall Magazine/ Duty Free Magazine Other Travel Tips |
