Going Overseas? |
Travel Info im going overseas on the 27th, any last minute tips, or things i should take or do before leaving ? Travel Tips Going where, and for how long? Others where are you visiting? Make sure to go to the post office and change your address. And take as much as you can, because it costs more to ship stuff over to you. And don't forget, don't pack anything on the plane over 3 oz. No matter what you take, you will always forget something... Make sure you bring clothes that will account for the environment on arrival. For example, England and Ireland are cool countries but when the temperature is low and the rain is falling you can feel extremely cold. Conversely, if traveling to a hot, humid environment lighter color clothing made of cotton will help. come visit me :D if you are going for a standard tourist trip (measured in days or weeks), pack everything you think you'll need (before you buy extras), and take a walk around the block, carrying everything. Then open up your bags and re-evaluate. If you're going for a longer time - don't waste space with items you can buy there (if you're going to a city or to a western country - phramacy/hygene items, etc. Start with the 99-cent travel/trial sized items, enough to get you there until you can buy what you need). Put aside the things you "might" need but don't want to carry, put them in mailing boxes and leave them with someone who can send them. The odds are you won't need them, or can get substitutes over there. Make a couple copies of your main passport page. Leave one with a reliable friend who can fax it in an emergency; put other copies in each bag. If you lose your passport, these will be vital. Noodles! I'm at the same situation as you're in. Well, don't forget to pack your sanitary napkins, chewing gum for your take off so you won't have an earache, some books to read on your flight or any amusement for you while waiting for your connecting flights, don't forget your ITM. It will save you if you find yourself short of funds later...just a reminder. And advice your daily newspaper to stop throwing that paper every morning to your door to avoid robber's urge to get into your house. That pretty much I can think of now as I'm going to do the same for myself. Have fun! |
