Are you aloud to bring cameras, i-pods, or mp3 players on planes?

Yes you can take all those camera, mp3 player and small electronics in plane, except you have to turn them off when take off and landing. You can operate the mp3 player and any dvd stuff while ont he plane but cannot turn on your phone.

Yes - But you are asked to switch them off when taking off and landing
Yes. They ask you to turn them off though from the time the jet leaves the gate until it reaches cruising altitude. The same when the jet begins its' descent.
Yeah, you can take all of the above, but you have to keep your cell phone turned on "airplane mode" or turned off.
