Is it okay if I take a rolling duffel bag into a grocery store to carry more groceries? |
Travel Info I am within walking distance to the place... I was wondering if I can take the duffel bag into the store and leave with it filled with purchased groceries. Would I be accused of stealing the duffel bag or anything? Or would I be kicked out or anything? Travel Tips I have taken a bag into the store if I am getting only a few things. I have also seen people do it who recycle a lot. Just let them know that you will be doing it, you may even call and tell the manager that you live close and it would be easier for you. I am sure they will let you. Others you would be accused of stealing what you can do is leave it at the courtesy counter after your done buying your groceries you can get the bag and put your stuff in it. I work at a grocery store, and we would most likely assume that something fishy is up. We have had people leave a bag (or bags from other stores that they have shopped at before they come to our store) at the service desk--this way when they/you are done you can just ask for your bag back and then pack your items in it! High-five to you for not wanting to use plastic/paper bags! So many of those are wasted all the time! |
