Does this sound okay, or to early? |
Travel Info My husband and I are getting ready to sell our house, the agent is coming over sometime next week to get the house on the market. Well we was thinking about going ahead and packing up somethings, mainly the stuff we don't use. She told us that the houses around this area as been selling within 11 days to 168 days. So we don't really know how long the house is going to be on the market but do you think it's okay to go ahead and pack up the things we know or think we know we won't be using? I also know that when she is showing they want the house to look the best and not crowded which is another reason why we decided to do it. Any advice? Travel Tips The only thing I know about selling a house is the advice I keep seeing listed on real estate sites that tell you to pack up 1/3 of your bellongings and remove about 1/3 of your furniture from the house (put it in storage). Also, reducing the number of clothes in your closets. It doesn't get you ready for a sale or to move, but it does make your house look more spacious (i.e. more desirable to a potential buyer). Others of course less packing later on in life Yes, pack things you won't use for sure or that make the house unreasonably cluttered for no reason. Your house will sell faster if it isn't jumbled up in mess. Yes, of course, de-clutter the house - pack up everything you're not going to need. Get it out of the house entirely if you can. Maybe rent a small storage space for a while. A de-cluttered house shows better and will sell faster! Good Luck! Yes, I feel that it would be good to start packing now. It'll make the place neater and also at least part of your packing would be done by the time you are leaving the house. Good luck! Yes you should so that it will be neater, less clumped up and u will have to do less packing later on when yu are moving to a different house. |
