I need help On packing For a 4 day trip!!!!! HELP!!!!!? |
Travel Info Ok well I am going On a 4 Trip to kansas City So what SHould I pack I need to have a check list of The basics.!! HELP!! P.S. I am A girl and I only have A small cosmetics bag and A Small Carry on bag! Travel Tips I don't know how old you are, but a great general rule of packing for a trip is to bring half as many clothes and twice as much money as you think you'll need. Bring enough underwear to change each day. Check the weather forecast before you go to decide on mostly heavy or light clothing. In a place like Kansas City, ALWAYS have a rain poncho or umbrella handy, as rain can come quite suddenly. Bring comfortable walking shoes, and also shoes that you would feel comfortable in rainy weather. Bring something to keep yourself entertained on the trip and at the airport...paperback books or ipods are lovely for this. Bring only the makeup you would wear for a basic Saturday, not your whole cosmetic collection (in emergencies, you can buy other stuff at your destination). Call whatever hotel you are staying at and ask what sundries they provide...most will at least have vending machines where you can buy most of your overnight necessities like disposable razors, deoderant, toothbrushes, and such. Check the "Trial size" section at your grocery store or chain store, those small portions of the stuff are invaluable for short trips and are very cheap! You might do well to just buy another small suitcase; they are not always expensive (esp. at places like walmart), and if you are feeling REALLY cheap, you can easily get a used one from a thrift store or just pick one up at your local garage sale, where I've found they are quite commonly sold. Oh and MOST IMPORTANTLY...MAKE COPIES OF ALL YOUR IMPORTANT PAPERS LIKE DRIVERS LICENSE, SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE and keep a set of copies in a SEPARATE area of your bag from your wallet (or better yet, in a different bag entirely)...and also leave one set of copies at home...if god forbid you happen to lose your purse or wallet on your trip, they will greatly expedite your arriving back home as quickly as possible. Have fun! Others You definitely need a suitcase or a large carry bag. 10 tops and 10 bottoms for day and night and in case one gets dirty and you need to change 10 underwear toothpaste deodorant hair brush toothbrush socks if you plan on wearing sneakers sandals slippers band aids in case you cut yourself a nail file in case a nail breaks q-tips if you use them hair ties a bathing suit if you plan on going swimming a towel for the pool in you are going into a pool hairgel or mousse if you use it At least 2 or 3 handbags in case you wanna match with your outfits. jewelry cell phone charger if you have one myself you can do this simplly: 1 change of underwear 1 pair of shorts 1 pair of slacks 2 tops that can go with the bottoms perhaps a dress in case you have a special event dress shoes in case of the dressy event (you will be wearing shoes, and one change of clothes for everyday wear) things can be rinsed out and easily dried on a shower rod don't sweat the small stuff. If you forget some small thing, it will either be at the hotel, or you can bum it off a friend. Have a great time |
