Bringing makeup through airport security? |
Travel Info I've been to the TSA website and looked at some similar answers, and they've helped to narrow this down a little, but I'm still not 100% sure. With the restrictions on liquids and gels, exactly WHAT makeup counts as a solid and what counts as a liquid/gel? I understand that mascara and liquid foundation would be liquids... and eyeshadow powder would be a solid. But what about things like chapstick, lipstick, and cream foundation? Are those considered gel-like or solids? I'd appreciate responses from frequent fliers who like to bring lots of makeup along, as well as from any airport screeners who could tell me what they would and wouldn't allow. Thanks! Travel Tips Mascara, chapstick, lipstick, cream foundation, liquid eyeliner, deordorant, contact solution, and lip gloss are all considered liquids and need to be included in your quart sized ziploc allotment. Happy travels! Others When I just flew, they considered my lipstick (which I assumed would be a solid, and kept it with me) to be a liquid. I can't answer about foundation, sorry to say. |
