How do i pack light for a trip? |
Travel Info Its for 6 days i don't want to carry more than one bag all i have is a shoulder bag its fair space but i need to fit in blanket, small pillow, shoes, clothes etc.. rolling clothes dosen't work for me lol Travel Tips Rather than bringing a pillow, bring a pillow case that you can fill with fluffy clothes at night. if you put your folded clothes in zip-lock bags, you can put them in the bags and then using your knee compress all the air out of the bag and seal it. It will greatly reduce the size taken. Try rolling your blanket and somehow attach it to the exterior of the bag, either on top or bottom. Shoes take up a lot of space. Bringing only one pair would be preferred. Or just bring flip-flops which don't take up as much space. I can help with any other specifics if you post them. Hope that helps. Others Well if you're not doing anything too crazy like hiking or anything, but will be walking just bring one pair of shoes, if you're into the whole matching of wardrobes and whatnot, just pack 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of pants and 2 or 3 shirts you can mix and match. You can always do laundry if you need to.....then pack bare essentials stores have bins full of travel size containers, leave the make up at home, and purchase stuff when you arrive wherever your going to. One thing I did when on a super long hiking trip to save space was to use vaccum bags. especially for your pillow and blanket. Hope this helps...have a good trip. The key is to think small and multi-purpose. Don't get a full size bottle of shampoo, put some in a small one. Also get a tiny soap, toothpaste tube, and so on. There are also a few items that have multiple uses, and so are a must-have (like antibacterial wipes, and a Swiss army knife if you don't travel by plane). If all else fails, start thinking about what you could leave at home. Do you take the blanket for fear you'd be cold at night? If yes, maybe you could bring a warm sweater instead. It's smaller and a a good replacement. Also, you could leave the pillow at home and use a rolled-up towel instead. These tips work if you plan on taking a sweater and towel anyway, of course. Be organized, don't just stuff your things in the bag, look at their shape and think of the best fit. Shuffle them around until you get it your way, damnit :D On the long term, buying a backpack will be worth it, especially if you plan to do more traveling. Make a list of everything and stick to the list |
