Help please advice needed? |
Travel Info we (me,hubby, baby and child of 3 years) are travelling abroad and want to know if we can cram all our baggage allowance which is 60kgs = 20kg for me, 20kg for my hubby and 20kg for my 3 year old, into 2 cases, say like 30kg in 1 case and 30kg in another, or is there a complete limit as to how heavy one case can be??? if its a problem i will just split the baggage allowance up and take 3 cases, anyone know please??? Travel Tips As your travelling as a family group then there should be no problem whatsoever, when you check in the attendant will ask if your all together and weigh your cases as a group and not separately, I have done a lot of travelling recently on planes and have never seen anyone who is part of a family or group have to check their cases in separate to each other, good luck and enjoy your holiday. Others dEPENDS ON THE AIRLINE. E.G. Ryanair are v. strict. nO POOLING ALLOWED. Consider the number of persons who will have to pick up and carry this baggage of yours. Your inconvenience is their healthy back. Airlines differ. Check your ticket or booking info fo our baggage information. Have a nice holiday! no your allowance of 20k per person has to be in a seperate bag as in max of 20 each You need to check your airline and what their guidelines are. We recently travelled with First Choice and they were very strict about the limit - 1 bag each at no more than 20kg. If you are flying to the US then the weight limits are very different. I would say that 60kg for 3 of you is actually way too much. I overpacked for Mexico and that included snorkels and stuff and it still didn't come to 20kg. I would recommend that you really think about what you are taking and take half of it back out. Not only do the baggage handlers have to cope, but you and your husband will be dragging extremely heavy suitcases (believe me 20kg is heavy when you are trying to negotiate a foreign airport) and a young child. Maybe you want to take two normal sized cases and a reasonably sized child one for your littleun. I always think I have not packed enough for the holiday, yet EVERY time I get there by the end of two weeks there are still loads of clothes or shoes I have not worn - and I go away twice a year on big holidays and 3 - 4 times a year on smaller trips. It all depends who you are travelling with.Easy jet will charge for anything over 20 kilos,Ryanair for over 15 kilos.Easy jet allow pooling but ryanair don't [as i recently found out,5euro's per kilo,i was 8 kilos over!!!] Best bet is to check with whoever you are travelling with. |
