Depends on what you plan to do. If you want to drive, you have to have a valid driver's license. If you plan to purchase alcohol and look younger than 30 (sometimes), you'll need something official that has your date of birth. If you're going to get on an airplane, you'll need a passport or driver's license or official ID that contains your photograph and personal details. If you're going to have to pick up a package sent to you at a general delivery address or receive a bank transfer or something, you'd also want official ID of some type. If you're just going to backpack around the country, look old enough that anyone would sell you booze (or don't plan to buy any), etc., then you don't need any ID at all. You could go for years and never show ID anywhere. Use your ATM card to get cash and just go. depends, you'll need a passport to enter the country and a drivers licence to drive(obviously) or some other legal document stating your age to purchase certant things (alcohol, cigars etc.) |
