How will I get it aboard? |
Travel Info So I wanted to bring a painting to give to my friend when I fly from Atl to TX but I was ondering the best way to carry it its pretty large and could probably fit in my suitcase I just dont want it damaged. Would it be best to wrap it up ahead of time or to just put it in a plastic bag and use it as my carry on? Travel Tips You haven't said which airline you are using, but the guidelines for size are all pretty similar. The link below will take you to the size restrictions for American Airlines carry-on. If it will not fit in an overhead bin or under the seat, you will not be allowed to bring it on board. In that case, you should check to see if your airline will allow you to check it as luggage. In that case, I would wrap it first in acid-free paper and then box and label it thoroughly. Honestly, if this piece is large, you will probably save yourself a big headache by shipping it ahead or after you return. Happy Travels! Source(s): http://www.aa.com/aa/i18nforward.do?p=/t... Other Travel Tips it might be too big for a carry on, maybe if you put cardborad around it like strong stuff and then bubble wrapped it that should work, GOOD LUCK! |
