Is it ok to leave luggage with the hotel before you check in? |
Travel Info We are going to Italy in a few months, and i've planned our whole trip, but there are several days where we we'll get into a city in the morning, before we can check in. We want to tour the city w/o our baggage. Is it safe to leave it with the Hotel before check in? Travel Tips You have to check with the Hotel; as said by other user, not all do provide this kind of service. But you can also check at the railway station: if it's big enough they should have a storgae area for luggage. Others Absolutely. They will keep it for you. In fact, they may let you go ahead and check in if they have a room available. Doesn't hurt to check. Ask them,they may have a courtesy room available as your going to be a guest. I doubt very much if they will take responsiblity if owt gets whipped though usually it is in America but since it is a foreign country i am not sure but you should check with the hotel yes, i've done it may times before. But just a word of advice, make sure the door to your hotel is locked and you have the key.@= Yes i think it should be ok. I went to London a few weeks ago and left my luggage with the hotel a night before i checked in. Just remember to put a lock on the luggage. Have a nice time!x You should check with your hotel to see if they have that service available before you get there. Hotels in Europe are often smaller than here in the US so they don't always have the facilities to leave it with them. If they do, they are often safe to leave your luggage with. Just make sure you lock up all the compartments with locks so that nothing gets "lost" while you're away. Also, check with the hotel desk when you get there. If they have a room available, sometimes they'll let you check in early and you can leave your bags in your room. Good luck and happy travels! |
