Question on how to get passport in US for US resident, but non-citizen.? |
Travel Info I need to get a passport for non-US citizen fast. How to start and get this done? Travel Tips The non-citizen has to apply for a passport via their Embassy (in Washington, DC) or nearest consulate. They will get a passport according to their nationality - A French citizen will get a French passport, etc. Others Never heard that non-citizen can be a passport holder. Call an American Embassy and ask them (make sure you rush it though, or it could take several months) or Apply through your country where you obtained citizenship. First I would start by making ur friend a U.S. citizen, if you can't get that done better find a lot of cash and get one on the black market. I am a passport acceptance agent. You must be a US citizen either by birth or through naturalization via U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). See their website at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis... A non-citizen cannot have a passport. A passport is proof of citizenship of a particular country. Does your friend have a green card? If they have a green card, they are a green card holder and permanent resident. Permanent residents apply for passports just like US citizens by filling out the application and paying the appropriate fees. You cant. You must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a passport |
