Travel Tips
depends on where you are going and how long you will be gone..

but last week i went on one and i took

-4+ bathing suits [you can nvr have enough]
-3 pairs of shorts two jean and one cotton parir
-5 tank tops you can wear them over suits as a coverup or with shorts as an outfit.
-underware and only one bra
-2 t shirts incase you get sunburnt and want to stay out of the sun.
-spf 30 or higher. even if you dont normally wear it... you will fry on the boat. also some face spf.
-after sun lotion. the lake and sun are sooo drying.
-either no makeup orrr waterproof mascara. dont bother with fondation or anything like that... it is worthless in the water.and in all that sun you will just look overdone
-shampoo conditioner ect.
-leave in conditioner to spary in your hair in the morning.. keeps the tangles out and wont let the sun ruin your hair.
-bobbie pins, hair rubberbands, headband. all keep hair nicely in place while boating.

well thats all i can think of. ha Source(s): me! 10 years boating

Hope this gives you a few idea's
I'd be starting with a life vest.

Clothes:
You will need a wind-cheater, preferably water-proof. Casual clothes that are easy to get in and out of are best as you will usually be changing in cramped conditions while the boat is moving. Elastic waisted trousers/shorts and tee-shirts are easiest.
If it is warm, swimmers and something you can quickly pull on over them. Shorts and tops for the days and something a little warmer for the nights, which can be very cool on the water.
If it is cool, lots of layers of shorts and trousers as outlined above, and tee-shirts and sloppy-joes.
You will probably end up sleeping in your clothes rather than pj's, so make sure they are comfortable.
Shoes need to be flat and secure-fitting with non-slip soles that won't damage the boat deck. They need to be easy to pull on and off and it mustn't matter if they get wet.
Always take one good-looking non-crush outfit in case you go ashore to somewhere fancy.

Toiletries:
Take the bare minimum you need with regard to toiletries because there is very little room on boats and you usually end up keeping everything in your bag on your bunk. But make sure you have creams to protect you from sunburn and windburn. Your face, lips, the backs of your hands and your thinghs just above your knees are the most susceptible. Put spillable things in plastic bags. You need at least 2 towels - one for showering and one for swimming, so you have one towel free of sand. If you have long hair, take plenty of ties to keep it tied up out of the wind. Don't forget the necessities of your cycle and any medications or favourite first-aid items.

Miscellaneous:
For on deck don't forget a decent hat and very good sunglasses - the glare off the water on a sunny day will burn places you didn't know you had.
A head scarf will often come in handy and not just for your hair. It is great for protecting your ears from a harsh breeze.
Books to read - cheap copies in case they get wet.
Camera of some kind for your memory pics - disposable waterproof ones are great.

That's all I can think of. Have loads of fun!
