What clothes should I pack for a 16 day tour of the Eastern US?...next week? |
Travel Info Travelling with my wife - coach tour - need warm clothes? Travel Tips It is summertime in the eastern US. You don't need any warm clothes, other than a pair of blue jeans, a sweatshirt, & a light jacket or raincoat, in case of a cool &/or rainy day. If you are lucky, you will keep them in the bottom of your suitcase & not even use them. Pack about a week's worth of light clothes, such as shorts/slacks & tshirts, & comfortable shoes for your tours. Have an outfit on hand that can go from casual to formal if there is a special occasion. Check your itinerary, if available, to find out how much down time you will have to plan for laundry. Enjoy your tour!! :) Source(s): OTR Truck driver & resident of west central OH Other Travel Tips In GA the temp has been hovering around the 90's. Up towards NY you get into the 70 - 80 range. Near the beach is hotter and in the mountains it is colder. Depends on where you are going. Whatever you will be comfortable wearing in those temps. no, not really, I live in the middle of the US, but, my brothers live in New York, and it is not that cold up there(only in the winte and fall is it REALLY cold) so I say some warm clothes, but some to just chill out in. I would also bring all of your jackets, including a winter jacket, because there can be sudden cold rushes that just burst through. sister I have been to Maryland, DC, Virginia, and Pennsylvania this time of year and it is hot and somewhat muggy in the summer. Bring shorts, tennis shoes, sandals, t-shirts, and light casual clothes for evening dinners as it does not cool down until about 10 PM. You may experience a lot of balmy evenings. Bring a windbreaker or light coat in case it cools down in the late evening. Don't forget the sunblock, a hat, sunglasses and deodorant. Also, the Eastern United States has the best seafood. Don't forget to try the crab cakes and crab in general. Have fun. |
