GOA trip from Hyderabad?

I am planning a 3 day trip to GOA from Hyderabad to cover 31st Dec and 1st Jan 07 times. I am planning to travel by train to and fro and also planning to rent a 2 wheeler to roam around. It will be good to be arnd the beach, but looks like the resorts have heated up prices.

For a double room its arnd 3k per night and some are forcing to take a package for 11K for 3 nights 4days with local sight-seeing.

Whats the right one? I am a bit worried abt the budget and what exactly is good in GOA (seriously)...I want to have a feel of the new-year eve & night.

why u want to spend money on 11k. buy this outlook traveller, cost 210 rs - available at any stores-stay at the happenning lace palolem for 600 a nite with firangs - lovely beach, station is canaona.
have a nice clean accomodation.
then when u reach there check local paper for partying spots.
sonn waste money yaar - hire a van for sightseeing

I'm frm goa, so go there by train and hire any accomodations frm the beaches, the beaches , churches, dudhsagar waterfall, it's beautiful to visit, learn to bargain, and u'll be fine
