Planning to drive Hyderabad to Goa in Santro. Is this a good idea? Heard roads bad between belgaum and panaji. |
Travel Info Please suggest good places to stay overnight on the route. Bijapur or Belgaum? Travel Tips Well you have heard right ..... the roads between belgaum and panaji is bad ..... that is becuase it is a ghat and forest area..... but mind me .... that will be the best attraction of your whole trip ..... it is too lovely (hope it rains when you are there). It is not too dangerous but you should be a good and safe driver. Till i know you will be crossing the border of maharashtra then come to karnataka then again you will enter maharashtra and then goa. http://www.indiaatitsbest.com/goa/panaji... Do take a halt in between and enjoy the Hot tea and Wada paV. I have travelled this area by bus.... and i wished that time that i would have been in a personal vehicle....... because there are many places on the road where you feel like getting down and have a photo session. In belgaum you will get good hotels to stay overnight. One of the Name that comes to my mind is SAnkam. Also i suggest if you can incoporate Dandeli in your tour plan. It is a good place to be ..... but it will extend extend your tour will one full day. It is 97 kms from belgaum (diversion) and then Goa is 125 km from there. Others Planning to drive by car is good idea. Planning to drive by car in India may not be that good idea. But nothing much bad things happen.
