Travel Tips as in any place, you have to take precautions. veracruz is very nice, and there is some trafic during the weekends, as the beach area is used b y many people. i do recomend it. Others almost anywhere in Panama is safe, except maybe Colon, Panamanians love a lot of the things America has done for them. a major part of their national income is real estate to Americans that are retiring, its cheap to live there and very nice my mom was born there, our family is planning a vacation home there Definitely, you can get away from the hectic city there.It's safe but don't trust too many people who want to come and mow your lawn or clean your house. The last time I went back home, a retiree from here got murdered and the culprits turned out to be her gardeners. Colon has a lot of good deals on electronics, just don't go alone.
