Panama's monetary unit is the Balboa, but it is only coins. Prices of items in local stores are posted either in Balboa or in U.S. dollars, which are equivalent in value, i.e. 1 balboa = 1 us dollar.
Panama's major natural resources are water and its geographical position, which Panama has exploited for centuries as a trade center and today, it has been further developed through the Panama Canal, international ports, oil pipeline, a financial center, a Free Zone, and production centers.
Other natural resources are shrimp, gold, non-traditional. agricultural products

We officially use the Dollar.
But we have the Balboa, which is suppoused to be our national currency, but its only coins ... of course there is a hidden reason why we use dollars since the 40's and why we have both currencies mixed, but that is nother story.
HUM....EURO'S OR KRONERS??
