Travel Tips If you are willing to pay anywhere from US$7 to US$10 per hour, any taxi should be able to take you there, spend no more than one or two hours (including the drive there) and head back to the city. Look for a nicer taxi, with air conditioning and settle for the prize in advance. Be sure to know that there will be no surcharge for getting our of the city. Another, cheaper way, is to go to the Albrook Bus Terminal and ask any of those guys asking for passengers about how to take a bus going in that direction (Miraflores, Paraiso, Gatun, etc), the fee should be around US$0.25 or US$0.50 and talk to the driver about dropping you off across from the locks, you need to walk about 100 meters to the Visitor's Center. There you need to pay US$7 (I think) or just watch from the old look out but the experience is not the same. Hope this helps... Others If you are not familiar on how to go there, you should go to a travel agency that can take you to a daily tour. If you have a car, and you would like to go on your own, you can take the road that goes to albrook...go all the way through the quarter, and then at the end, when you get to the Rey supermarket, turn right, and go straight ahead from there, until you reach the locks.
