What is Panama's money called? |
Travel Info I NEED to know! Travel Tips It's called the Balboa, which comes as a centesimo, peso, a quarter, etc. One balboa is equaled to one dollar, although American money is used for larger exchanges. So a balboa is better in use if you are getting something cheap in coins, like a lollipop. Panama use to have its own paper money, but that was in the 40's for only a week! Source(s): http://www.learnpanama.co.nr Other Travel Tips peso or the colon balboa.... seriously!! pesos balboa It is the Balboa but 1 balboa=$1, so there is no Panamanian currency. They use U.S. greenbacks instead. They do however mint coins however and all of them have Balboa's head on the back. They come in the same denominations as U.S. coins. |
