How can I get in touch with the ferry company that operates between Almirante and Bocas del Toro, Panama? |
Travel Info I can not find a web page, e-mail or telephone number. I understand the company is called Ferry Turistico Palanga. I need accurate information about their schedules, but all I get in guides and the internet are contradictory. Travel Tips Try: http://www.bocasmarinetours.com/... There also seems to be a company called Taxi 25 but I cannot find any web page nor phone numbers for it. Where are you coming from? Realize that if you are coming from Costa Rica you do not have to go to Almirante first anymore. You can catch a "launcha" from Changuinola now. And probably more important, DON'T WORRY ABOUT HAVING IT ALL FIGURED OUT before you go. Usually if you are connecting with / from a bus they have things pretty well synched. The launcha doesn't want to leave 20 mins before a bus load of customers arrive. And at the very worst you'll just have to wait an hour or two. fyi, I have made this trip a few times the last of which was in May or June of 2006. All was super easy. Others When you get there to Almirante tell the taxi driver to take you to the boats that go to Bocas del Toro. There are water taxis all day long going there. I wouldnt worry about a schedule.
