What cruises originate in either Costa Rica or panama to Caribbean or south America? |
Travel Info I am searching for a cruise that originates in either panama or costa rica going to a non-usa port. Travel Tips Cruises no... But for a more intimate option you can do sailing charters from Panama and visit some of the most beautiful places the region has to offer. I was lucky enough to spend 3 weeks on a boat that does charters last year. "Ladyhawke" a 63' trimaran does trans canal trips, tours in Las Perlas, Darien trips, and San Blas trips (which is where I was lucky enough to join them) Their web site: www.panamaniac.net I know there are other charters like these guys out there so just look in sailing magazines and do internet searches. Others None that I know of originate in Panama, however what we have done is found a cruise that originates in another location and has a first pot of call in Panama and board in Panama as if we missed the boat in the orginating location. No one cares and since we live in Panama it saves us the cost of the airfare. I'm sure you could do the same thing in Costa Rica. In the future there will be cruises that will originate in Panama since they are starting the construction of a new cruise terminal here. Panama projects a year to completion.
