have you ever been to panama? my friend and i are doing a project on panama. her family is from there but i wanted to see what other people thought of the country and such! Like what was your favorite activity and attraction and whatnot.

Travel Tips

I'm from Panama and I go there every summer. Most people are attracted to the Canal but there are places where you can explore the countryside and the rainforests. I honestly haven't done that because I tend to stray away from tourist who gawk and treat us as if we are slow and cannot understand English.

But I digress...

Panama City is a bit more "Americanized" because it has become such a tourist destination and for that reason I prefer Colon (where my grandparents are from). I guess it has a more authentic feel to it.
