Travel Info Im thinking about going to panama on vacation...is it whorthwhile? Travel Tips Ask yourself why you are thinking of going to Panama. Because someone said it was a cool place to visit? Then I'd do a lot of research before I made that decision based on someone else's opinion. If it's because you can see both the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans in one day. Or if it because you can drive to the most beautiful lush second largest volcanic crater in the world that more people live in than any other crater in the world because the climate and temp is so great and then a 45 minute drive later be back at the beach. Or if it is because there two duty free zones for shopping. Point being, there is a lot of wonderful uniqueness about Panama. So, if it because something here in Panama holds a personal interest for you, then by all means come and visit. You in all probability will not be disappointed. Panama has the canal, and a lot of culture, but the heat and the humidity can be opressive. If you don't mind that, then go for it. Nicaragua and Costa Rica are also great options. Yes, Panama is surely worth visiting! There is the world famous Panama Canal, historical cities (Panama, Panama Viejo, Portobelo) and natural beauties (e.g., mountains in Chiriqu铆). The Canal Casco Viejo [The old city] It's a beautiful country overall, i do recommend you rent a car to get by faster & easily. Also, everything is so cheap! I love it, it's been one of the best trips I've had. |
