What date do clocks go back in France? |
Travel Info What date do clocks go back in France? Travel Tips Thanks for asking the question, which reminds me I'll have to pay attention !!!! The time change for "winter time" will occur at 03.00 which will become 02.00, early in the morning, next sunday (29/10). A "nice" night to go out, 'cause some places have to stay open an extra hour !!!! Too bad, it's not Halloween's night ! ;-) Others If France is the same as the UK, then that would be on the night of the 28th of October this year. The clocks in the UK go back on the the last Saturday night of October (I think they choose the weekend so that if you do forget, you only have a messed up Sunday to deal with). What you do it add six hour+ EST and that is the time in UK and if by adding you go past 12 midnight than change date to next day. Very Simple. You can also look at the world clock, most cell phones have it under tools (near the calculator) they don`t. they dont - the clocks are adjusted for BRITISH summer time France DOES observe DST (daylight saving time) and, like the other parts of Europe that observe it, will put its clocks back on the morning of Sunday October 29th 2006 (as we will in the UK) The change will occur at 03.00 which will become 02.00 Information about DST can be found at http://www.timeanddate.com/time/aboutdst... with the actual details for changes here http://www.timeanddate.com/time/dstevent... today, I think: 10/29 |
