Any bars in paris that would be similar to les or brooklyn bars?

Travel Info
hey, i am visiting paris and don't know anyone that can recommend any good places to check out. i mostly hang out in the lower eaast side, williamsburg, and park slope.....know of any bars that would be a good fit for me? thx!!

Travel Tips
I'm not familiar with the areas that you mentioned, but I have a feeling that you should check out the caf茅/bars on the rue d'Oberkampf (get off at metro station Oberkampf, lines 5 or 9) and walk up towards Belleville ... there are at least a half a dozen good ones, the Caf茅 Charbon amongst them (109 rue Oberkampf)

Rue de Lappe/rue de la Roquette is also a good place, but probably best on Thurs, Fri or Sat nights (metro Bastille). Source(s): American in Paris

Other Travel Tips
There was a bar in Paris called the American Bar. It was run by a guy as I recall from the Chicago area. My recall is that it was an American joint, and I used it to get "leads" from other Americans living in Paris who frequented it for a touch of home. Not even sure its there still, but ask and some one will know.
