Tunnel from london to paris? |
Travel Info Tunnel from london to paris? Travel Tips Which one are you trying to escape? XD Is this a question about the Channel Tunnel? "Chunnel" (le tunnel sous la Manche) It doesn't go directly from those cities, though... Others The tunnel is under the Channel between the UK and France. It does not go from London to Paris. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/channel_tun... There are two ways to travel through the tunnel: By Eurostar highspeed train - http://www.eurostar.com With your own car or in a bus, using the Eurotunnel trains: http://www.eurotunnel.com With Eurostar, you board a train in London and get off the train in Paris. With Eurotunnel, you drive to Folkstone, have your car or your bus loaded unto the Eurotunnel train, cross under the channel sitting in your own car or bus on the Eurotunnel train and disembark in Calais from the train. You then drive from Calais to Paris. You should also consider taking the boat, it takes longer because you have to take a bus or train to and from the shore but in both France and England you see some of the most beautiful countryside that way and the boat isn't bad either. (Oh yeah and I'm pretty sure the boat + trains/busses is still cheaper than the Chunnel. Are you thinking about the Eurostar train service, about 2 hours from London to Paris ? http://www.booktrain.co.uk |
