Gift from America for Paris woman?

I would like to bring a gift for the woman we are renting a flat from. Are there any American gift items you could suggest we bring for her? thanks!

Good quality nuts (macademia, cashews, or almonds from California). You'll get a lot of bang for the buck bc the price of nuts in France is nuts (horrendously expensive). French ppl buy nuts in boxes the size of playing card packs (ok maybe a little larger but not much larger than that) and she will think that you spent a fortune on that huge can or bottle of nuts. And she will appreciate having a big container of delicious nuts vs. the small packs she is used to. French ppl tend to eat roasted nuts more than raw nuts.

I think if you were bringing a gift from Paris back to someone in the states, you'd bring wine or an Eiffel tower. So how about an Empire State bldg. (or something like) and a really nice Californian wine?
Parisians love food, Maybe some of your local delicious products. Smoked salmon made for travel. Anything food wise, and you will be well accepted. Au revoir!
Does she cook? Get a George foreman grill, with converter.
Does she get into baths, or showers, get a shower massage .
Does she travel , Fowl weather gear. with a emergency lantern.
Does she garden, a set of stonebrook gardening tools.
What do she do. Gotta have the facts.
i wouldnt suggest electronic type items..they are on a different voltage. but...the french people do appreciate and value intellectuals...so how about a gift such as a book...or something practical and useful of good quality (wine opener)...
I would suggest a Wind shime or a good bottle of californian wine like zinfandel (grapes not used in europe).
The wind shime was the first gift my american wife offered to my french family and they loved it : It is original and not known over there.
