Anybody good at French? Quelqu'un qui sais le fracais?

Travel Info
I need help. I seriously need this translated. When a lion and a tigress mate, it produces a liger. Thanks :)

Travel Tips
Quand un lion et une tigresse s'accouplent, ils donnent naissance a un Ligre.

Or you can say it better :

Le fruit d'un accouplement entre un lion et une tigresse est un ligre. Les ligres sont rares et peuvent peser jusqu'a (input the weight in Kgs here)

Others
I don't claim any great fluency in French but I think it would be "Quand un lion croise avec une tigresse, il produit un liger"

I will now wait for native French speakers to laugh at my attempt to translate.

*grin*
Quand un lion rencontre une tigresse ils produisent un tigre ?

im french but i dont understand " liger "
fauvesdumonde.free.fr/hybride/...
uses both Ligre and Tigron
\Wikipedia uses tigron
but several sites refer to Ligre also, I guess it is up to your phonetic preference
