How does the schoolboard choose which langiages will be taught at a school? |
Travel Info at my school they offer spanish, german, and japanese, but some people who live in canada speak french, so why isnt it already part of the curriculum? im taking spanish now but would love to switch to french. Travel Tips French used to be a routine part of the available languae curiculum in most American high schools. Its been dropped from a lot of them. I suspect that is simply a matter of maing a decision as to what will be most useful to students. While French was once the international language of diplomacy its well down on the list of useful languages these days. Spanish is certainly the second language of more Americans than any other. Japan is, after all, the second largest economy in the world, after the USA. The choice of German seems a bit odd but I'd guess they just had someone on staff who could teach it. Others did you read what you asked? if they speak it do they need to be taught it? well maybe so yeah cuz they can't spell? |
