If you were on a limited budget, flew into Paris for 10 days and wanted to visit a neighbouring country or two

Travel Info
where would you go?

Was thinking to take the underground train from Paris to London (not sure what it's called) for a day trip or maybe a night. And also thought about training or driving down to north Spain (not sure where).

Any thoughts welcome.

Travel Tips
London sounds like a good idea, and instead of spain you could try andorra, it's a little closer, it's got the highest life expectancy in the world 83 years and no taxes so good shopping! Italy would be a good one too, like venice cuz it's so beautiful and unique or maybe switzerland too, or belgium, amsterdam's supposed to be interesting due to its freedom.
You could save some money by staying at someone's place instead of a hotel or hostel, lots of people offer free accomodation.

Others
Ten days isn't very much time to discover Paris. Rather than use up your limited time traveling inside Europe you'd be better advised to give Paris the time it deserves.

If you really feel the need to see more than one country then the best idea is to get an "open jaws" ticket and fly into London for a few days then take the Eurostar train to Paris and return home from there.
An open jaws flight is a better idea.
I would avoid the Eurostar train. It's expensive and you miss seeing the channel. It goes underground quite a long way from the coast.
The bus from London to Paris is fun, cheap, comfortable and includes the ferry ride.
On the other hand, London is VERY expensive. Flying into Amsterdam or Hamburg is another option.
The Loire Valley is in France and not far from Paris. The castles or chateaux are amazing. You should take the day trip!
